High School Choir Gains New Perspectives While Traveling Abroad

Written by Brightspark Travel

David, a choral director from Iowa, traveled overseas with his choir students for an educational performance tour of a lifetime. The choir took an eight-day trip visiting Austria, Czech Republic and Germany. Read more about their experience!

The group was surrounded by history and exposed to new foods and cultures. In addition to performing in some of the most inspiring places in Europe, students also gained new perspectives and knowledge. The tour guides offered valuable information during attraction visits including the Haydn House, Bach Museum, Berlin Wall Memorial, St. Stephen's Cathedral, and much more.

Students were faced with new daily challenges such as converting koruna to euros and euros to dollars. They also expanded their vocabulary, unexpectedly learning some new words in German. One student spoke of their greatest lessons learned while on tour: empathy, humanity and faith.

The group shares all of this and more, capturing their international performance tour experience with their very own blog. Check it out here!
